Festival Made Easy
The Toronto International Film Festival, the largest public film festival in the world, wanted a way to engage consumers during the annual Festival—and year-round, too. A key goal would be to provide a consistent user experience across the iPhone, multiple Blackberry handsets and the then-new Playbook.
We developed our own API to handle the massive amounts of data associated with Festival and year-round programming, allowing us to centrally manage data requests for a lightning fast experience. We integrated social media into the app to capture the “buzz” of Festival.
The app has since been downloaded over 25,000 times and was featured in both the iTunes App Store and the Blackberry Marketplace.
