Designers turn to JF Fabrics not just when prepared to make a purchase, but throughout the creative process of picking the right materials for their projects. To create the best digital experience possible, we wanted not only to position the website to be compatible with a designer’s browsing and buying workflow, but to actually make their jobs easier.
Through a series of user interviews, we learned about how creative decisions are made – often beginning with a colour in mind, a mood board, and flipping through the showroom fabric books. We translated this experience into the website with advanced colour and style search filters, the ability to manage custom mood boards within the site, and by indexing search results to match showroom book collections page-by-page. We also integrated the ability for users to bookmark searches, “like” items and easily share product details as a PDF with their clients.
