Art & Science is looking for an Experience Designer, reporting to the Creative Director, Design.

What you will do:

You will facilitate client discovery sessions to understand the nature of the business context and what problems need to be solved.

You will establish the core experience design strategy for a client’s brand / property, ensuring this work aligns to the broader business and brand strategy for our clients.

You will design and present Information Architectures, wireframes, and customer journey maps to illustrate ideas, concepts and experiences.

You will conduct UX audits of existing properties (websites and applications) to identify opportunities for improvement based on business and brand objectives.

You will interface and collaborate with strategists, designers and developers to ensure the ideas you have for a client are both technically feasible and allow for the kind of visual expressions that the creative team needs.

About you:

You are passionate about understanding our clients “business needs” and the customer’s “user needs” in order to create unobtrusive experiences that help our clients achieve their goals.

You look at the consumer’s mindset and their journey holistically, using empathy to inform your thinking and to identify pain points and opportunities.

You recognize that brand isn’t just the visual component but the entire feeling of an organization, and believe that all interactions, no matter how large or small, are all brand experiences.

You are a critical thinker that understands when research is needed and when to apply existing and well-tested solutions to common problems. You recognize where an investment in a custom solution will deliver value, and can always present a comprehensive rationale for your proposals.

You pay attention to great interaction design in all contexts; online and offline. You stay abreast of trends and changes in consumer behaviour to inform your recommendations.

You have a portfolio of work that demonstrates how your strategic thinking was applied to the business problem at hand.

You have experience in collaborating with both design and technical teams.
